US firm to sell Tullamore plant after global review
Medical products manufacturer Boston Scientific has announced plans to sell part of its business, including a plant in Tullamore.
Two-hundred-and-thirty of the company's 4,000 Irish staff work at the Co Offaly facility.
The move to sell the plant follows a global review of operations at the US-based firm.
The vice president of the Tullamore operation, Sean Ahern, says the plant is performing well and is an attractive option for sale.
