Stranded passengers legally entitled to compensation
The European Consumer Centre says the passengers left stranded in New York last week by the Flyglobespan airline are entitled to compensation.
The airline had to cancel a flight to Knock for technical reasons.
Most of the stranded passengers are back in Ireland after making their own alternative arrangements, while the others are due to finally leave JFK Airport on a Flyglobespan flight this evening.
The Scottish low-cost airline says it will only reimburse customers for alternative flights that it organised.
However, the European Consumer Centre said today that even people who made their own arrangements are entitled to a refund for the cancelled portion of their trip, as well as
