3 Mobile to broadcast Setanta Sports

Mobile media network 3 today announced that it has teamed up with sports TV channel Setanta Sports to provide mobile TV to its customers.

The agreement sees the Setanta Golf, Setanta Ireland and Racing UK channels launch on the 3 mobile network with immediate effect.

The channels will each be priced at 50c for 24 hour access.

"The Setanta sports TV channels on 3 will give everyone the opportunity to watch horse racing, football, GAA and all your favourite sports live and direct as they happen," said David Riley, head of entertainment at 3.

"We see your 3 mobile as being your personal TV - no sharing the remote control this time, so you can watch the games you want, wherever you want."

Niall Cogley, from Setanta Sports commented: "This is a great way to consume sports action on the go. Sports fans can look forward to the freedom mobile TV on 3 provides."
