Brick maker takeover draws to a close

British brick making giant Wienerberger today appeared to have won a lengthy takeover tussle for smaller UK rival Baggeridge.

Wienerberger, the world’s largest brick maker and top three player in the UK, fended off rival suitor Michelmersh Brick after securing a controlling stake in Baggeridge and upping its bid for the third time.
