Father's Day more popular than Valentine's Day

Father’s Day is catching up with Mother’s Day as an event marked by greetings cards, figures out today show.

It is now more popular than Valentine’s Day as a card-sending occasion, according to market analysts Mintel.

The gradual acceptance of Father’s Day as an annual event means it is now the fifth most popular card-sending occasion.

Birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, and Mother’s Day are the top four such events.
