UK water company plugs leaks as profits rise
Yorkshire Water parent company Kelda met water leakage targets for the tenth year in a row today as it unveiled a 7.5% increase in annual profits.
The group used new developments in technology to help repair leaks and ensure water supply security for its base of more than 4.7 million customers.
Kelda said it was also confident of meeting regulator Fat's current goal to cut leakage by 297 megalitres a day for the year ahead.
