ISEQ recovers

The ISEQ-index went some way to recovering lost ground this morning following yesterday's heavy losses.

Shares rose 34.03 to 9589.70 points as a crisis was averted and leading shares scrambled back to calmer waters.

Most of the financial heavy weights managed to recoup losses as AIB and IL&P climbed 24 and 23c to €21.42 and €19.21 respectively.

Bank of Ireland making slower progress inched up 15c at €15.30.

Nonetheless Anglo Irish Bank continued to feel the sting after yesterday's doom and gloom and dropped 1c at €16.92.
