Banks prepare to reveal ABN Amro strategy
Barclays’ rivals in the battle for ABN Amro today said they would reveal their hand over a potential counter-bid for the Dutch bank on Tuesday.
A consortium led by Royal Bank of Scotland, which has said it is prepared to pay £49.1bn (€72.4bn) for ABN, had until Sunday to set out its intentions under Dutch takeover rules.
