One in five UK homes gets conversion

One in five home owners across the UK have converted lofts or other areas into living space, partly to increase the value of their house, according to new research today.

A survey of 2,000 adults by AA Insurance found that attics were the most popular areas to be converted into a room, although some people transformed sheds or garages into a work space.
