ISEQ is up
Trading was good on the ISEQ index of Irish shares today as the exchange close up 110.59 points at 9778.51.
Both Ryanair and Aer Lingus were slightly up on a day when it was announced that charges for travellers flying from Dublin Airport will remain the same for the next two years, the Aviation Regulator announced today.
Despite calls from Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) for an increase to fund the building of a new multi-million euro terminal, fees will stay at €6.34 per passenger until T2 is open for business.
Ryanair were up €0.13 at €5.42 and Aer Lingus were up €0.03 at €2.98.
It was a generally good day for the financial houses also; AIB were up €0.24 at €22.64, Anglo Irish dropped just €0.02 to €16.50 and IL&P fell €0.17 to €19.88.
Bank of Ireland also dropped, sliding €0.04 to €16.54.
