Island Oil & Gas plc today announced that it has begunwhich the first of this year’s drilling programme on Exploration Licence 4/05 at the Old Head of Kinsale.

Island Oil & Gas plc today announced that it has begun which the first of this year’s drilling programme on Exploration Licence 4/05 at the Old Head of Kinsale.

The firm has spudded gas appraisal Well 49/23-2, which is being drilled using the Petrolia rig. Island is operator with a 65% interest.
