ISEQ makes modest gains

The ISEQ-index made some modest gains this afternoon as shares rose 20.22 points to close the day at 9562.87.

The financial big guns experienced a mixed bag of fortunes with 20c slipping from AIB share prices at €21.48.

Bank of Ireland on the other hand managed an impressive 36c surge at €16.54 while Anglo Irish climbed 19c at €16.18.

IL&P however, failed to make any progress reporting no change for the afternoon at €21.11.

Food company IAWS finished the day as the markets best performer charging ahead 59c at €18.23.
