BP shareholders set to revolt over chief's pay package
A shareholder revolt over the pay package of BP boss Lord Browne today threatened to overshadow his last annual meeting as chief executive of the oil giant.
Lord Browne steps down in July, but major shareholders of BP are said to be ready to reject the company’s remuneration report amid concerns over his inclusion in the company’s latest three-year incentive scheme, which runs until the end of 2009.
