Sci looks for next level after console launches
Lara Croft publisher Sci Entertainment today predicted new consoles such as Sony’s PlayStation 3 could boost demand and pricing for the next five years.
As well as the new hardware, Sci is also looking to the popularity of new media games, which can be downloaded on to mobile phones and PCs and have significantly higher margins than retail products.
The upbeat comments came as Sci – best known for its Tomb Raider and Hitman games – posted a rise in revenues for the six months to December 31, up from £50.1m (€73.7m) in 2005 to £74.5m (€109.6m) this year.
