BoE: Further interest rate rises possible

Fresh interest rate rises cannot be ruled out amid continuing economic “volatility”, the Governor of the Bank of England, Mervyn King, warned today.

Giving evidence to the Commons Treasury Committee, Mr King said that the next six to nine months would be “very interesting and very important” for interest rates.
