Japan: Jailed internet mogul 'to appeal'
Dot-com mogul Takafumi Horie will appeal his guilty verdict in a closely watched Japanese internet trial, his defence lawyer said today.
The appeal is expected within the course of the day, Yasuyuki Takai said during a news conference held after the Tokyo District Court handed Horie, founder of internet firm Livedoor, a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence for violating securities laws.
