Airtricity announces Texas deal

Renewable energy company Airtricity has today announced its involvement in a $1.5bn (€1.14bn) deal to construct a wind power network in Texas.

Renewable energy company Airtricity has today announced its involvement in a $1.5bn (€1.14bn) deal to construct a wind power network in Texas.

Airtricity develops and operates wind farms in Ireland and Britain.

Airtricity CEO, Eddie O'Connor described the project as comparable to the construction of a power station greater than the entire energy generation for Ireland.
