Call centre boost for Belfast

An Indian call centre company is creating another 100 jobs in Belfast, it announced today.

In a reverse of the norm, HCL set up in the North six years ago, grew swiftly and now employs 1,700 people in Belfast and Armagh.

The company said the new jobs were being created after it won a five-year contract to provide online and telephone services to Lexis Nexis, the global information solutions company.
