Reed education arm up for sale

European publishing group Reed Elsevier today unveiled plans to offload its under-performing Harcourt education business.

Reed said the decision reflected the dynamics and strategy of the education arm, which differed from its other three divisions covering science and medical, Lexis Nexis and legal and business publishing.
