Bulmers to create 150 new jobs in Clonmel

Bulmers Ireland has announced an employment boost of 150 new jobs in Clonmel.

The cider producer is to create the positions as part of it's continuing expansion.

The jobs are expected to come on stream later this year bringing, the total number of employees at the plant to 750.

Meanwhile the company's requirement for apples has grown and Bulmers is introducing local planting programmes for those who might consider developing apple orchards.

The programmes are being seen by some farmers as a viable alternative to beet farming.
