Roex Holding — the new business unit spun out from Dairygold Co-op last year — has announced its first major acquisition after spending €10m to take over a Dutch meat company.

The announcement was made by chief executive Jerry Henchy at Roex’s first annual general meeting (AGM) held in Cork. The €10m takeover of Prime Meats of Amsterdam was made by Reox’s consumer foods business, Breeo Foods.
