New boss for ACCBank

ACCBank has appointed former Rabobank Ireland MD Fergus Murphy as chief executive, effective from April 10. Mr Murphy is currently head of Asia for Rabobank.

ACCBank has appointed former Rabobank Ireland MD Fergus Murphy as chief executive, effective from April 10. Mr Murphy is currently head of Asia for Rabobank.

Mr Murphy became MD of Rabobank Ireland in August 2000.

He initiated and managed Rabobank’s acquisition of ACCBank in 2002 and was a member of the Board of ACCBank from its acquisition until 2004.

In 2006, he oversaw the acquisition of Haga Bank and Hagakita Bank, Rabobank's first majority-owned foray into international retail banking in Asia. Prior to joining Rabobank, Mr Murphy worked for Banque Nationale de Paris.
