ISEQ surges forward

The ISEQ-index jumped this afternoon by 184.24 points to close the day at 9435.49 marking the end to an eventful day on the trading floor.

Investors were busy on all fronts but especially in the financial area as shares at all the heavyweights shot up. AIB and Anglo Irish gained 26c and 29c at €22.64 and €16.09 respectively.
