New Ryanair route to Denmark welcomed

VisitDenmark Ireland has welcomed Ryanair’s new route from Dublin to Billund, which begins operating on January 24.

Billund, in western Denmark, is home to the original Legoland.

The Boeing 737-800 with 189 seats will operate four times weekly.

Henrik Kahn, director of VisitDenmark Ireland, said: "Until now, only the Danish capital has been accessible to the Irish people, but the new route opens up to a whole new region of Denmark with great cities, miles of sandy beaches, luxurious self-catering cottages as well as plenty of attractions."
