BP reports fall in production

Oil giant BP remained under pressure today after production levels for the past three months came in lower than expected.

The London-based firm said it pumped 3.82 million barrels of oil out of the ground per day between October and December, below most expectations in the City for a figure in the region of four million barrels a day.
