Farmers are being encouraged to capitalise on their upgraded facilities by marketing food products abroad.

It's estimated that over €1.5bn will be invested in developing farms over the next five years.

Jerry Scully of the Agricultural Science Association said that this investment is “a huge marketing opportunity here for Government and for all the agencies to highlight this abroad”.
