Hanson set for UK profits fall

Industrial group Hanson today said annual profits at its UK building products arm would be lower after seeing a decline in brick volumes.

Despite an improvement in trading in the second half of 2006, Hanson said full-year operating profits for the division were still expected to be below the figure of £37.8m (€56.4m) reported for last year.
