Chief executive to leave ACC Bank

Chief Executive Officer, Colm Darling, has today announced his intention to leave ACC Bank plc.

Chief Executive Officer, Colm Darling, has today announced his intention to leave ACC Bank plc.

Mr Darling spent 11 years at the bank, seven as CEO.

He presided over its privatisation through the sale to Rabobank in 2002.

On an interim basis Mr Adrian Hegarty has agreed to take on the CEO role of ACC Bank from December 4, 2006.

Mr Hegarty will also continue in his current role as CEO of Friends First, a life insurance and pensions company in Dublin owned by Eureko.
