An Irish-based company is joining forces with the National Institutes of Health in Washington to test new vaccines for cervical cancer.

Biotrin International has secured a licence to carry out tests to determine the effectiveness and uptake of the HPV vaccines.

Experts believe the injection has the potential to cut the level of cervical cancer by up to 70%.
