BT buys anti-hacking firm

Telecoms group BT said today it had bought an anti-hacking firm which advises companies on how to protect their computer networks against security threats.

The firm acquired Californian-based Counterpane Internet Security, which keeps tabs on 550 networks for a string of top multinational businesses.
