UK tour operator First Choice hit by terror scares

Tour operator First Choice Holidays today admitted bird flu scares in the eastern Mediterranean coupled with recent airport security alerts would impact on full-year profits.

The company said there was a slowdown in the rate of sales during the summer, while a delay in bookings due to the World Cup and July’s heatwave would also have an effect.
