EMC announces new Retrospect Express

IT management and storage company EMC Corporation today announced the release of their Retrospect Express HD 2.0 for backup of a single PC to an internal or external hard drive.

Earlier versions of EMC Retrospect Express HD edition were only available bundled with third-party branded hard drives. With the release of version 2.0, EMC Retrospect Express HD is now available as standalone software from online and storefront retailers.

Retrospect Express HD 2.0 uses the same Progressive Incremental and Smart RestoreTM technologies found in Retrospect's broader home/home office and business editions.

If a PC user accidentally deletes or overwrites a file, a virus attacks, or their hard drive fails, Retrospect restores lost data with unparalleled accuracy.

EMC established a presence in Ireland in 1988 with its first manufacturing facility outside of North America in Ovens, Cork. It then formed its Dublin based sales office in 1990. EMC now employs over 1,500 people in Ireland between both sites.

The Cork facility has become a multifunctional campus and the home of EMC's International Operations.

In addition to the manufacturing facility, the site also includes the International Executive Briefing Centre, the Global Solutions Centre, Worldwide Customer Service Centre, Vmware Support Services, Software Development and Shared Services functions.
