BA pair quit amid fuel surcharges probe
The two British Airways officials on leave of absence since June when UK and American competition chiefs began an investigation into fuel surcharges have both resigned, it was announced today.
The pair are commercial director Martin George and head of communications Iain Burns.
In a letter to BA chairman Martin Broughton, Mr George said that within his department “there may have been inappropriate conversations in violation of company policy in relation to long-haul fuel surcharges”.
