Consolidation of the online gaming industry kicked off today when internet casino ukbetting declared it was a takeover target.

Ukbetting, which runs the ukbetting.com gambling website as well as sports news operations such as football365.com, said it had received “preliminary approaches” from suitors interested in making an offer for the company.
