Ice cream giant Ben & Jerry’s is under fire from an animal welfare group for buying eggs from a company the Humane Society of the US says mistreats chickens.

The hens are kept in cages so small that the birds cannot spread their wings, according to Humane Society spokesman Paul Shapiro.
