Governments have been urged to meet the costs of increased security at British airports since the alleged UK terror plot.

Governments have been urged to meet the costs of increased security at British airports since the alleged UK terror plot.

The International Air Transport Association said airlines are being left with huge bills.

Passengers are still experiencing delays because of extra checks before they get on flights.

Aviation expert Chris Yates says we'll see more alerts diverting planes in the future:

“We can't take risks with the safety of passengers on any flight.”

He added, “We have to take the precaution of getting the aircraft on the ground and carrying out a full investigation once everybody has been evacuated from that aircraft.”
