The ISEQ index of shares recovered from early losses to close 34.05 points higher at 7792.02 today.

It was a mostly good day for the financials. Anglo Irish was up 12c to €12, Bank of Ireland gained 5c to €14.80, while Irish Life & Permanent rose 3c to €19.25. AIB was unchanged at €20.30.
