The Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Committee has been engaged in consultation with individuals and companies about the need to tighten up certain terms.

The Minister for Trade and Commerce Michael Ahern said today certain problems can arise with the terminology, especially when people style themselves as accountants when they have no actual qualifications.
