The Mandate trade union is due to meet Roches Stores management in Dublin today to discuss the planned sell-off of the company to the British retail chain Debenhams.

Ninety-one staff are set to lose their jobs due to the planned closure of a Roches outlet in Dublin, as well as its general support office in the city.

The remaining 1,900 employees have been told their jobs are safe.

Mandate says it wants guarantees that their terms and conditions will also be protected under the new ownership.
