Cork man allegedly caught dealing crack cocaine before 10am denied bail

The accused was charged with being in possession of crack cocaine on Sidney Hill and having the drugs for the purpose of sale or supply or others.

Gardaí objected to bail being granted to a 31-year-old man allegedly caught dealing crack cocaine on Sidney Hill in Cork before 10am and expressed concern that he would carry out similar crimes if released.

The defence solicitor raised the issue of delays in the forensic analysis of drugs, which he described as “a national scandal”.
