Bank buys into budget airline
A budget airline’s hopes of becoming the transatlantic equivalent of Ryanair or easyJet moved a step closer today thanks to a tie up with Bank of Scotland, it was claimed.
The Observer said the bank’s private equity arm has bought a minority stake in Zoom Airlines, a cut price carrier set up by the founders of Direct Holidays.
