Premier Foods buys Campbells Soups for €650m

The British firm Premier Foods has bought Campbells Soups in Ireland and UK in a €650m deal.

The Campbells range includes Erin soups, Oxo stock cubes and McDonnells sauces.

Premier Foods, which is based in St Albans, already includes Ambrosia puddings, Hartley's jams and Sarson's vinegar in its range.
