Britain urges leaders to settle World Trade deal

The British Foreign Secretary today urged world leaders to settle a stalemate over a trade liberalisation document billed as a chance to lift millions from poverty.

“I don’t exaggerate when I say we’ve come to the crunch, to a window for agreement that is now to be measured in days at most,” Margaret Beckett, in her first US visit as Foreign Secretary, said in a speech.
