Late rally sees overall gain for ISEQ

The ISEQ index managed to finish in the black today after a late buying surge, climbing 35.65 points to 7551.93.

It was a mixed day in most sectors, as was particularly in evidence with the financials. AIB edged up 14c to €18.90, with Bank of Ireland enjoying an 18c jump to €14.13. The results were not matched by their competitors, with Anglo Irish Banks losing 29c to €11.91, with Irish Life & Permanent faring little better, slipping 20c to €18.40.
