GAMA to get an extra €12m for Ennis by-pass

Turkish owned construction company GAMA is set to receive at least €12m extra for its work on the Ennis by-pass in Co Clare.

Turkish owned construction company GAMA is set to receive at least €12m extra for its work on the Ennis by-pass in Co Clare.

GAMA won the contract for the road in 2004 after lodging a bid of €123m.

It is now to receive €12m extra under clauses in its contract that deal with "labour laws" and "lands made available".

The by-pass is expected to be finished in 10 months.
