Barclays today said it will axe more than 1,200 jobs in the next two years as part of a shake-up of its high street banking operations in the UK.

Barclays today said it will axe more than 1,200 jobs in the next two years as part of a shake-up of its high street banking operations in the UK.

The banking giant will close three offices in Bexleyheath in Kent, Clacton in Essex and Dudley in the West Midlands with the loss of 1,203 call centre and back office staff.
