Apple launches new U2 iPod
Apple today launched a special edition iPod themed on rock megastars U2.
The 30GB music player is engraved with copies of the band members’ signatures.
Its covering is made partly from black stainless steel and it has a red coloured click wheel.
Owners will get a half an hours’ worth of exclusive U2 video footage to download from Apple’s iTunes store.
The MP3 player is more expensive than the non-U2 30GB iPod.
Apple vice president of worldwide iPod product marketing Greg Joswiak said: “We’re thrilled to continue working with one of the greatest bands in the world to bring U2 fans a special edition of the world’s best digital music player.”
The first limited edition U2 iPod was launched in 2004. It was a 20GB version which looks different to this one.
