Meteor unveils free business calls product

Meteor have announced the launch of free Meteor-to-Meteor calls for all existing and new business customers.

The mobile operator, which was taken over by eircom at the end of last year, now has a 155% market share and claims more than 625,000 subscribers.

The new Business Edge tariff plans do not differentiate between "peak" and "off-peak" periods, Meteor said today.

Meteor parent company eircom is itself now subject to a takeover bid by Australian finance house Babcock and Brown, which has joined forces with the eircom Employee Share Ownership Trust (ESOT) to make a long-anticipated €2.4bn offer.
