An offer has been made for the buy out of TV3.

Private Equity group Doughty Hanson and Co has agreed to buy 100% of the independent TV channel.

The deal values TV3 at €265m.

However any agreement is subject to ITV waiving its pre-emption rights.

ITV has 90 days to decide whether to match the offer.
