The rate of unemployment in the UK has risen to its highest level since 2002, official figures showed today.

The rate of unemployment in the UK has risen to its highest level since 2002, official figures showed today.

Britain's Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the unemployment rate was 5.2% in the three months to March – the highest since November 2002.
